Warranty & Maintenance
What is ZÜCA Europe's Warranty Policy?
ZÜCA warrants that your ZÜCA products are free of defects in materials and craftsmanship. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, improper care, skateboard contests or alterations.
For more information on ZÜCA’s Warranty Policy, visit our Warranty & Repair Page.
Warranty applies to the ORIGINAL PURCHASER ONLY.
Will I void my warranty if I customize my ZÜCA?
We encourage you to have fun with your ZÜCA and you should feel free to customize it. However, keep in mind that any modifications made to your ZÜCA Frame or Insert Bag may void the warranty on the product.
My product has a defect. What can I do?
If you find that your product has a defect, there are two options available.
• If your product is covered by our warranty, visit our Warranty & Repair page.
• If your product is outside of the warranty period, visit our Spare Parts page.
The zipper on my ZÜCA is broken? What should I do?
If you find that the zipper is broken, it is not defective. Our zippers are self-repairing. Run the zippers back and forth until the teeth of the zippers align themselves, linking the rows together. After the rows have linked together then the zipper has repaired itself.
How do I clean my ZÜCA?
Clean ZÜCA Frames using a sponge or soft cloth and mild detergent. Scrub gently, rinse and wipe dry. We have two different frame finishes. The Sport model is "Powder Coated” resulting in a non-toxic finish, more durable than paint. Using abrasive cleansers, steel wool or SOS pads may change the look of the finish. Magic erasers are recommended for difficult scuff marks.
Clean ZÜCA Insert Bags using a cloth/brush and mild detergent. Rinse and let air dry. Insert Bags can be removed from the frame for cleaning. We recommend letting the ZÜCA Insert Bag dry, while in the frame, to retain shape.
How long will my Sport Wheels flash before I need to replace the batteries?
The good news is that there are no batteries. The wheels generate their own electricity as they turn and should last a long time.
My Flashing Wheels don't flash, what can I do?
There are at least two options:
• You may have an incorrectly adjusted wheel nut or axle (no offense intended). Try tightening the axle bolt a bit with a 5mm Allen wrench and a small spanner or adjustable wrench to hold the inner nut. For earlier models, two keys are sufficient. Turn the bolt little by little until the wheel lights up when you turn it. (Be careful not to overtighten it or you will pinch the plastic fixture that will break the magnetic strip around it. If this magnetic strip is broken, you will need to replace the entire wheel.) After tightening the bolt, there may be some resistance when you turn the wheel, so you have to loosen the bolt gradually while checking the lights. The best setting is when the lights are flashing, but little resistance is felt when spinning the wheel and there is no side play when you try to wiggle the wheel.
• Another possibility is that you have left your ZÜCA in the water or in the mud for a while and the magnetic strip may be wet (or dirty). If this is the case, remove the wheel and then remove the bearings and plastic magnet armature from the wheel hub. Clean and dry everything and reassemble according to the above adjustment procedure. If your wheels still don't work, or if the above procedure seems daunting, please contact us. If it is under warranty, we will solve the problem.
I don’t want my wheels to flash, what can I do?
ZÜCA offers a black Sport Frame that has non-flashing-wheels. If you already have a Sport Frame with flashing wheels, you can replace the lower flashing wheels with the upper non-flashing wheels by simply removing the lug nuts and swapping one wheel for another.
Flashing wheels or Non-Flashing wheels can be purchased separately. For more information, visit the Spare Parts page.
Wheels on the ZÜCA Flyer and the ZÜCA Pro models do not light up.
My handle is bent or broken. Is that covered by the warranty?
Probably not! The handles rarely bend or brake under normal circumstances.
However, if you feel that your handle has been bent or broken by an unknown force or due to a defect in material or workmanship, please check our warranty & repair information page here.
